High power for deeper burdens and wider suspension heights.
Magnetic Tube Circuits (Opti™ Series)
Use surface gauss and pull (¼″/½″ balls) to match circuit to your burden depth and particle size.
| Circuit | Profile | Nominal Gauss | ¼″ Ball Pull | ½″ Ball Pull | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Opti-B™ | Balanced (abrasive-tolerant) | ~9,475 | ~95.8 oz | ~267 oz | Great blend of reach/hold in tough flows. |
| Opti-G™ | High Gauss | ~12,000 | ~108 oz | ~266 oz | Max surface gauss for very fine ferrous. |
| Opti-H™ | HACCP | ~11,175 | ~106 oz | ~261 oz | HACCP International + USDA AMS accepted. |
| Opti-L™ | Large tube (3″) | ~12,385 | ~106.8 oz | ~448 oz | Higher hold for larger geometry. |
| Opti-M™ | Mid-tube (2″) | ~13,800 | ~128 oz | ~448 oz | For bridging-prone products. |
| Opti-P™ | High Pull | ~10,539 | ~119 oz | ~317 oz | Max hold when burden depth is higher. |
| Opti-T™ | High Temperature | ~7,240 | ~60.5 oz | ~188 oz | Heat tolerance to ~356°F. |
| Opti-V™ | Ceramic (value) | ~2,320 | ~0.5 oz | ~24 oz | Early-stream tramp capture. |
How to Use the Magnetic Tube Circuits Table
Tube circuits control field reach (how far the magnet works into your product) and hold (how strongly captured metal stays put). The right circuit is the difference between “some capture” and consistent, audit-ready performance.
What the numbers mean
- Nominal Gauss = surface intensity → best for very fine ferrous & stainless fines near the tube.
- Pull (¼″ / ½″) = holding force → resists wash-off at higher flow, vibration, or deeper burden.
- Profile = intent (High Gauss, High Pull, Balanced, High Temp, HACCP).
Pick a circuit by application
- Fine powders (flour, sugar, spices, fines): choose High Gauss.
- Deeper burden / higher rate (pellets, granules): choose High Pull or large-tube.
- Abrasive media: choose Balanced to protect performance and the tube.
- Hot processes: choose High-Temperature.
- Food audits: choose HACCP-rated circuits/tubes.
Tip: Numbers work best with good layout—keep burden depth low, use multiple rows where possible, and match tube spacing to your particle size and flow. If you’re unsure, we’ll size the circuit and drawer arrangement for your material.
