Overhead & Belt Conveyor Magnets
Remove ferrous contaminants from belt-conveyed product with Suspended Overhead Magnets (Permanent or Electromagnet), Magnetic Pulleys, Drum Separators and Eddy Current Separators (non-ferrous). Configure for cross-belt or in-line applications, manual or self-cleaning.
Choose Suspended Permanent Magnet models for zero operating power and Suspended Electromagnets when you need deep-reaching fields or higher suspension heights. Add Magnetic Pulleys for automatic discharge at the head pulley, Drum Separators for mid-stream continuous self-cleaning, and an Eddy Current Separator to recover aluminum and other non-ferrous after ferrous extraction.
Suspended Permanent Magnet — Self-Clean
A deep-reaching permanent magnetic circuit with a continuous cleated belt that automatically carries captured tramp off the magnet face and away from product flow. Ideal for portable crushers/shredders and high-volume belts; available for cross-belt or in-line layouts.
Suspended Permanent Magnet — Manual & EZ-Clean
Economical equipment-protection magnets for lighter tramp volumes or intermittent duty. Options include EZ-Clean swiper bars and slider plates to simplify metal removal without dismantling the magnet.
Suspended Electromagnet — Self-Clean
For deep product burdens and higher suspension heights. A heavy-duty self-clean belt continuously removes captured metal so the coil maintains maximum magnetic strength under load. Power supplies are available in multiple kW ratings to match magnet size and duty.
Suspended Electromagnet — Manual Clean
Best for lower tramp volumes or intermittent operation. Cleaning is as simple as switching power OFF to release collected metal from the face. Manual models can be upgraded to self-clean later with a retrofit kit.
Magnetic Separation Pulleys
Installed as the head pulley, these permanent pulleys automatically carry ferrous off the belt’s underside into a discharge chute while cleaned product discharges normally. Great as a compact, continuous solution or paired with overhead magnets for maximum recovery.
Drum Separators
Continuously self-cleaning mid-stream separators for dry, free-flowing bulk materials. Product passes over a rotating stainless shell around a stationary magnetic core; ferrous is carried past a divider and released outside the magnetic field.
Eddy Current Separator
Rare-earth rotor technology repels non-ferrous metals (e.g., aluminum) from the product stream after ferrous removal. Offered in multiple pole counts to optimize for can recovery or smaller particles, with splitter boxes and adjustable vane positioning.
Field-Proven Installations
Built for rugged environments in mining, aggregate, recycling, C&D and more — with motor, belt, and guarding options to suit your site conditions.

Overhead Magnet FAQs
Permanent vs. Electromagnet — how do I choose?
Choose Permanent for zero operating power and typical suspension heights. Choose Electromagnet for deeper reach at higher suspension heights or heavy burdens; self-cleaning belts keep the face clear during continuous duty.
Cross-belt vs. In-line mounting?
Cross-belt runs perpendicular to your conveyor and discharges to the side; it’s common when space allows. In-line mounts over the head pulley for longer exposure and is often preferred when you need maximum dwell time or have limited side clearance.
Where do pulleys and drums fit in?
Magnetic Pulleys replace your head pulley for compact, automatic discharge. Drum Separators are mid-stream units for free-flowing materials when you want continuous self-cleaning in a housing.
Do you supply power supplies and upgrades for SEMOs?
Yes. DC power supplies are sized to the magnet (kW output), and manual SEMOs can be retrofitted later to self-clean with an upgrade package.
Need help specifying an overhead system?
Tell us belt width & speed, burden depth & material, expected tramp, mounting (cross-belt/in-line), suspension height, and available power. We’ll size the magnet, pulley/drum, and any non-ferrous stage.
